The WoW Board Game Satisfies

December 6th, 2007 by Scott Johnson

wow-board-game.jpg

Imagine you, with 5 of your best buddies, a case of Mtn Dew chilling to the left, a heaping bag of Cheetos aging to your right, and one of the finest video game to board game translations laid out before your eager eyes.

I picked up the WoW board game back when it sold for 99 bucks! Did you know you can get it for $56.95 right now?? Insane. Just a quote to wet your appetite:

Take on the role of a chivalrous paladin or a wise shaman, a holy priest or a vile warlock, a mighty mage or a crafty rogue. Play as a savage orc, a mighty tauren, a tribal troll, or one of the Forsaken undead; become an ingenious gnome, a doughty dwarf, a mysterious Night Elf, or a noble human.

Based on the popular World of Warcraft Massively Multiplayer Online Game from Blizzard Entertainment, World of Warcraft: the Board Game invites the players to choose from 16 characters, drawn from the eight races and nine character classes of the Warcraft universe, and take up arms for the glory of the Horde… or the Alliance. Travel across Lordaeron, vanquish monsters, gain experience and power, and earn honor for your faction.

World of Warcraft: the Board Game is a team-based fantasy adventure. The Horde and the Alliance factions must compete to be the first to defeat the invincible Overlord — be it the lich-king Kel’Thuzad, the dragon Nefarian, or the demon Kazzak — or, failing that, to be the last faction standing when it comes to all-out war!

Oh man, is this game good times. Take it from me, there is hardly a better thing to do on a cold winter night than play this with your buds. Get it now!

November T-Shirt presale delay - Snow Storm

December 3rd, 2007 by Pierre

Hey folks, due to a snow storm here in Montreal, ZeStuff is severely understaffed today.

Because of this, we won’t be able to finish the priting of some of the shirt and consequently, we won’t be able to start shipping them.

We should be able to start shipping the two models tomorrow and probably be done with them by the 6th. We’re really sorry about this delay.

Can you get geekier than this? The IDE belt

November 27th, 2007 by Scott Johnson

40_i.jpg

I’ve worked in the computer business in one form or another since 1992, and nothing, and I mean nothing says “geek sheek” more than a belt made out of real IDE cable.

You’re probably saying to yourself, “whoa, slow down there old man! Our hard drives use SATA cables…take your ancient artifacts and head right back to the nursing home you escaped from!”

Yeah, yeah…how 2002 of me. :) Seriously, a belt made of hard drive data cable? I hardly have words. So I will just say this: Get one of these things and be the first on your block to celebrate the universal transfer of data over copper conduction! Hey, even if you can’t rotate at 7200 rpm, you’ll still be the bell of the ball. Are you the master, or are you the slave? That’s for you to decide.

Get it on time! The ZeStuff 2007 holiday deadlines and business hours

Hello everyone! Now that the US thanksgiving is behind us (everyone got their full share of turkey and cranberry?), we can start talking about the upcoming holidays.

Like all previous years, we have prepared a list of shipping deadlines along with our business hours for December. We know that you don’t want to give their loved ones their gift after Christmas so we made a couple of calls to make sure that what we’re giving you is as precise as possible.

Of course, if you can order now, do not hesitate! The sooner, the better. Sure, some of you can wait until December 21st to get their shopping done and use a overnight shipping method but who knows what can happen. I’ve seen FedEx unable to deliver on time because their planes couldn’t get off the ground due to a crappy weather. These things happen and, of course, they always happen at the worse possible time.

So without further ado, I present you the ZeStuff 2007 holiday deadlines and business hours.

I’ll never think of cake the same

I’ve not mentioned this to too many people yet, but I honestly feel like I witnessed something really special with Portal. When a game can grab me with completely unique gameplay, great humor, mad originality, and a crazy good story, well…that is truly a special day indeed.

I confess I can still hear the computer voice in my head, and I swear I see blue and orange holes in the wall at nearly every turn.

I’m happy to report that I’ve found a way to walk around with my Portal obsession plastered all over me. The shirts are not only brilliant, they act as a reminder of just how great gaming is, and how far it has really come over the years. Do yourself a favor and pre-order one of these today.

November 2007 Caption This! Contest - We have a winner!

November 20th, 2007 by Pierre

Better late than never they say.

Our winner for this month’s contest is Mattzilla with “The first screenshots of Turok for next gen platforms are less than promising”.

Mattzilla, you are now the proud owner of a Marshmallow Bow & Mallow. Stand up and take a bow!

(I swear I didn’t see that one coming. Frankly, I kinda apologize for it.)

Come storm the castle with me…

The other night I distinctly remember trying to pick a freshly planted plasma grenade from the back of my neck during a rash of Halo 3 matches, and as it exploded a voice came to me and whispered the following into my head. “You really need to get your hands on a scale model of an medieval siege weapon of some sort.” I realize how strange that sounds, but these voices have said worse before.

Check out the specs on this bad boy:

  • Model is pre-cut and each joint is drilled for super strong connection.
  • Comes with a leather-like sling and some soft modeling clay for safe hurling!
  • Has an excellent, easy to read and understand building manual with 19 clear illustrations.
  • Can be built in 1 to 2 hours with little modeling experience needed.
  • All you need to make the model is some glue and a good pair of scissors. (Medieval music in the background helps!)
  • Seriously, who here hasn’t thought about hucking a candy bar across the room at your co-worker using nothing less than the Kings preferred war machine? Get all you need and more, right here. All that and a 20ft range? Sheesh…sign me up.
